Mainly Monday

Sorry for the late post (and the lack of posts lately), I'm drowning in school work. Anyone want to throw this girl a life preserver? No? Okay. I really don't have any favorites for today's post because I haven't had time to have favorites! This past weekend was formal and it was way better than high school dances! Check out my personal IG for pictures! 

As for the OSCARS last night, who else didn't know that Lady Gaga could actually sing?? I'M OBSESSED WITH SOUND OF MUSIC. Lady Gaga did Julie Andrew and The Sound of Music justice. Julie Andrews is Queen (of Genovia). 

 I am currently waiting for my first clue for big/little week (very anxiously waiting).

Liebster Award

So Victoria from The Timeless Prep nominated me for the Liebster Award and I am so excited to answer her questions and share some of mine! 

1. Pick your favorite ice cream flavor and rename it.

              Moose Tracks -->So I had to ask my sisters for help with this. They're super crazy and these names are from them, not me. So Alexis said Unicorn Poop (uhhh not gonna ask) and Brenna said Rabbit turds (with pb).

2. Tell us a funny childhood story!

              My friends and I were sledding down a hill right next to the lake and I didn't stop and therefore sled onto the ice and proceeded to fall through. Yay for snow pants and boots for keeping me somewhat dry. 

3. What is one cool tradition in your family/school/town/state?

             Well my neighborhood has a parade and a ton of parties every 4th of July! It's one of favorite times of year! 

4. What is one item you are looking to purchase soon?

            Shirt dresses! I really want to get some shirt dresses in my closet because they are so versatile! 

5.  If you had unlimited money for recreational shopping, what is the first thing you would buy?

            A GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPY. And yes totally meant to put that in caps.

6. Do you have a holy grail makeup product?

           I don't wear much makeup, but lately I've been obsessed with Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer. I also love Urban Decay's Flushed palette series and Naked 2 palette. Oh and for a casual eyeshadow look I use NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils! ULTA IS BAE, OKAY?

7. What is your go-to beverage? Water or something else?

          Starbucks Iced Skinny Caramel Macchiato, water, or skim milk.

8. Talk about your favorite pair of pajamas.

          I am basic and sleep in a tshirt or tank with wither yoga pants or norts.

9. If you could have animal slippers of any kind, what animal would they be? (remember those? throwback!)

        Penguins because they also look like their feet are cold. 

10. Do you like to match your nails and toes when you polish them?

        Yes I do! I get shellac on my finger nails and regular polish on my toes. That reminds me that I need to get my nails done pronto...mani day is necessary. 

11. What's one book you can't live without?

         Honestly, I can't live without the Harry Potter books because hello, I'm in Gryffindor (thanks Pottermore). Since I have to choose, I choose The Opposite of Loneliness: Essays and Stories by Marina Keegan.

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that your weekend was full of either fun or relaxation, or my preferred combination of both. I am so behind with work so today's post will be very brief!

Piko Shirts
 So I'm basically the last "preppy" blogger to jump on the Piko Shirt train, but I am trying to patiently wait for my order to come in! It was evident that new shirts were needed after some of my favorite shirts had holes in them after my most recent laundry. 

Dunkin Donuts
I forgot how much better Dunkin tastes compared to Starbucks. I was so happy to grab a mocha iced coffee on my way home from my pledge class retreat yesterday morning!

 Evernote
My new go-to note taking application on my laptop! It keeps everything in place and it's easily organized! I also have my handy to-do list on here that allows me to check things off throughout the day.

Happy Monday everyone!

So I'm going to start writing  Monday blog posts with the title of "Mainly Monday" to just share some my favorite things/obsessions of the past week. I promise that I'm not as weird in real life as some of these might make me seem.

 Sloths

So my obsession with sloths began in junior year of high school and has died down since then...but then I discovered how many sloth articles are on BuzzFeed. And hello? Did anyone see National Geographic's Discovery snapchat last week featuring baby sloths? I highly recommend looking up "sloths" on BuzzFeed because you'll find some great articles to make you laugh. For example, 21 Sloths Who Literally Can't Even and The Stages of Rushing A Sorority As Told By Sloths are some of my favorites. How can you not love this face?

New Spotify Playlist

So last week I shared some of my favorite Spotify playlists. Friday night I listen to TGIF to get me pumped, and it definitely got me pumped!

Nalgene 

So I parted ways with my trustworthy Camelback and began a new relationship with a Nalgene water bottle. I love it! It holds much more water, 32oz, which means that I don't need to refill it as much. Hello hydration!
